From: Brian Mulhoon Category: ArtTV Date: 13 March 2008 Time: 03:46 PM Review: Anyone see this? What has happened to artists, do they all, like Peter Blake and Jack Vettriano, just sit painting a photo sellotaped to their easels. Then with a lot of time and effort produce a wooden, a- level (grade B) standard painting of said photo. Is that what art has come to? Vetriano came across as a nice guy, which was odd. S. Vine at least painted from life, but didn't seem to make much difference, though was funny watching her paint the england manager who doesn't speak english, and her turning up to paint with some newspaper on the floor at the FA.
