From: menshevik Category: Films Date: 08 March 2008 Time: 04:25 AM Review: The most annoying thing is the soundtrack by radioheads Jonny Greenwood, which is irritating for most of the film, also the frequent use of oil or something else on the lens, indicating the presence of the cameraman or the ferocity of the action, it seems a bit forced. The plot is confused and the pace wrong. Don't mistake me, there is power from Day-Lewis and beauty in the landscape, and a compelling weirdness. Though the boy preacher doesn't quite have what it takes and strains for effect. Never think you're going to see a masterpiece, it always turns out minor.
