Roman Signer at Hauser And Wirth, London

Review:

I don't know but I think that there is something interesting to be said about the mindlessness of 
machines, but I am not sure that any one has managed to do so. At Hauser and Wirth the automatic 
lawn mower bumps in to the chairs, and I can kind of see this as a kind of mating ritual, also a kind of 
mindless activity. A series of videos document the effects of water on different objects, do we want to 
see all these actions as having emotional mental intent. Watching the videos or the lawn mower I think 
that I can't help but see it as a little human with an odd approach to life. Well done Roman Signer.
