Review:

It seems that Berger is only known now to art students introduced to lefty criticism by his 'ways of
seeing.' His novel G. won the booker and is hailed as the most important book of the 1970s (on its
back cover). Berger definitely has an interesting voice, a mix of romantic narrative, zany but accurate
metaphors, and a sort of cutting in by a social critic, the writer revealing himself without shame. G isn't
bad, I wonder if it would have had a more lasting impact with a longer title.
