Review:

hmmn free speech is good. but the ox union doesnt have to invite fascists and holocaust deniers.
Why do that? what's the point, except publicity for all concerned. And I cant see the value in debating
whether real events occurred, lets all debate whether slavery happened or how many people died in
pearl harbour, or whatever. The reason people debate the reality of the holocaust is either
antisemitism or some idea that they are undermining the foundations of Israel. Both are not ideas
which need a platform. I am not saying they need to be silenced, just that if you have choice no need
to given them a forum, and if you do why are you doing so. Their ideas don't need to be furthered
because debating the holocaust is deeply repellent and purposeless for decent people, the only
people who benefit are those that wish to spread lies and confuse the ignorant and revive
antisemitism. Every time holocaust deniers are heard they get more converts because some will
always side with "underdog" and say in their confused postmodernism, there are two sides to any
story. SO keep insisting we must hear people spout nonsense denying history, so you can feel the
sweet glow of liberal free speech, as jews are murdered in the streets by the crazies who think the
holocaust is another clever trick by the elders of zion. Free speech is good, but hate speech is bad.
Solution: avoid offering platforms to those that wish to make people hate.
