Review:

I read this book on the advice of a friend, who had enjoyed it so much that he didn't put it down. I
found it so dull it was almost impossible to pick it up, and I could only read it in silence when there
was absolutely nothing else to do, otherwise I would jump to the distraction. It is laced with casual
sexism of the sort that is meant to be funny - ha ha ha what a charmingly bad but honest man, he
realises what he says/thinks is sexist and a cliché and that he shouldn't say it but he says it all the
same, ha ha how funny, how old fashioned and charming, isn't it great to have a real man around. A
terrible classic.
