I am vulnerable because I want you all to like me and am the sole focus of attention in a room full of people and, simultaneously, almost despotically egomaniacal in my desire to be the sole focus of attention in a room full of people and elicit a uniform emotional response from every single one of those people. Even when it's good it's hardly ever really any good because the human desire to, hey, just have a bit of a giggle is just so freakin' banal. Cue succession of 'quirky' looking comics doing the performing monkey bit for the vast hoards of narrow-minded normos. Bull. Shit.
