Review:

Great book with a queasy twist. Simenon writes like a dream about America, for a frenchie. What
happens if you stop for one too many drinks. I won't talk about the plot, which is cinematically brilliant,
as I don't want to spoil the plot. The existential resolution made me feel uneasy. Judge for yourself. It
reads as fast as any book I've read. One sitting (lying) and done at telegram speed.
