From: art reviews Category: Art Date: 06 September 2007 Time: 05:36 PM Review: what a spectacle! bouncers in black suits, shirts and ties lining the street. the throng of artists, all got up in their artist costumes. david risley informs me that the heavy men in black are a reaction to kids attacking the art crowd. woah! art provoking hatred. all the free beer and wine and occasional champagne has made the little bastards jealous. where is de kooning to protect us? wilkinson has a gallery full of tired german paintings and a great window to view and pose from, and the whole thing is painted two stories black brick, and it is really great all this art (no i am not being ironic) it is a moment we should enjoy, art is thriving, and even if it is only the happy few that really benefit financially, rather than being on benefits, all of us rise with the tide. hoping the credit crunch will not crush our flimsy boats and sink us.
