Here's a colourful artist you might not know well. There are some monochrome paintings that look like 
modern art, and then some colourful constructions ( "capes, tents and banners designed to be worn 
or inhabited while moving to the rhythm of samba") which look a bit more like contemporary art. 
Very colourful. Very dull and that samba stuff, even if true, sounds like a repulsive colonialist cliche.
