There are some monochrome paintings that look like modern art, and then some colourful constructions ( "capes, tents and banners designed to be worn or inhabited while moving to the rhythm of samba") which look a bit more like contemporary art. Very colourful. Very dull and that samba stuff, even if true, sounds like a repulsive colonialist cliche.
