From: Sophie Category: Exhibitions Date: 17 June 2007 Time: 08:37 AM Review: I went along to The Herbert art gallery in Coventry to look at this exhibition, and I can honestly say it was stunning. The work was absolutely beautiful, and it was good to have the winner, runner up and special commendation works shown for each category. The Herbert art gallery itself is a beautiful building, very clean and contemporary, a perfect location to view such work, and it was free to get in. One particular photographer stood out for me, and that was Vincent Munier. His work had an innocence and peace about it. 'Snowy White Owl' was beautiful. Visit his website www.vincentmunier.com to check it out. Another photographer’s piece called 'Bear at Door' by Igor Shpilenok, winner of the Urban and Garden Wildlife category, was also brilliant. The story behind the reason for the photograph was great. I think the accidental photographs people take can sometimes be the best. This exhibition was absolutely great, and definitely one I would recommend viewing, and one I will definitely follow each year.
