From: Pirate Category: Art Date: 28 May 2007 Time: 05:41 AM Review: On the top floor there is a large painting, swirls and the colours they divide bounce and undulate, where perhaps to others this is just a clever optical illusion I enjoyed the effect, it looked so effortless to achieve such movement, the whole thing done in a series of fast looking brush strokes. Next door a massive and impressive installation, a carpeted platform with odd painted sculptures, pleasing but not great. Below smaller swirley paintings obscuring deformed faces which one sees more clearly from a distance, not so good, too clever and clumsy. Overall an exhibition worth seeing if only for the big painting upstairs. http://www.haunchofvenison.com/en/#page=london.current.anton_henning
