Review:

Roth is such an easy writer. His sentences are like a warm bath after too much postmodern prose. 
His facility is great, his descriptions zing. But you feel this novel is going through the autobiographical 
notions, like in there there is a great novel about love and lust, but he couldn't face writing it, where is 
Tolstoy when you need him.
