From: EG Category: Art Date: 26 February 2007 Time: 02:52 PM Review: Jay Joplin et all seem to like these video pieces - many films, cut in to bits and stuck together, to give us an impression of what mainstream media feeds us, image hungry consumers. Love, heartbreak, violence as seen on TV and cinema, this time a shoot out. Rhythmic, somewhat musical this is more palatable than most. Outside are a few images - comic strip exclamations also cut together from different strips, not so good. Upstairs are van den Broek's paintings dull, flat landscapes-like images. Not much to look at, positively uninspiring. I want more.
