From: Utter Category: Art Date: 04 February 2007 Time: 07:42 AM Review: Hauser and Wirth presents Caro Niederer a show called Alba's Birthday - some tapestries, photographs and paintings. The tapestries look like paintings on first glance - holiday type snap shot paintings. This snapshot photograph turned in to painting turned in to tapestry is an on going thing. The throw away life we lead in photographs preserved and painted and knitted in to permanence. A painting of a vase of flowers looms large, smaller tapestry versions are to be found, but I liked the painting. A show to go to.
