Cheap, takeaway you get two adana (minced lamb) kebabs, bread, salad, rice, youghurt sauce, and chili sauce for four pounds, and it could feed two for lunch. The prices are only a pound more for eat in. Some of those Green Lanes/ Dalston places are considerably more expensive if you want to sit down and the portions not so voluptuous. Gilbert/George take note. They have quails/liver/lahmacun freshly made for one pound! that's what a large mars bar costs these days....Yes and the man sits behind the chracoal grill, playing his tunes on the meat with a squeeze of lemon and a the bread soaking up the juices, and some other mysterious salts. Also the people who work there are pleasant and friendly.
