From: J Category: Art Date: 29 January 2007 Time: 06:03 AM Review: I went a second time, not expecting much, and it was good for me. The horses, children, and men started to dance, and I was no longer exasperated by the crowds of idiots (not painted). It became all about the zig zagged pollocky scuff of gold and decoration versus the accurate light faces. Which is the standard formal response. It was about 5 minutes before last entry, so the early rooms were almost empty. I'd advise a trip to Madrid if you haven't been, there Goya really becomes the best, with Velazquez a close second. Did I mention the Gene Hackman pope resemblance, once stated, unavoidable.
