From: con Category: Consumer Date: 09 January 2007 Time: 09:21 AM Review: Bought some 100% pomegranate juice from my local store, I think the juice is of Turkish heritage. It's colour was purplish reddish brown, like clotted blood perhaps, and it tasted unpleasanltly savoury, salty. Cost was £2.49 which is cheaper than pomegreat. Yes I do want to live forever and have beautiful hair and skin just by consuming a litre of crushed berries. My question is: is pomegranate juice naturally slightly unpalatable in its pure form, did I get a bad box, is it the brand I am buying bad etc ad nauseam etc. They often mix these juices with grape or orange or mango, to mask their flavour. That's part of the answer, but mysteries remain.
