From: com Category: Consumer Date: 22 December 2006 Time: 01:51 PM Review: the mob are let loose at the shops. if this was a protest, it would be a riot, but the millions are orderly getting the goods. why don't they realise their power and just take what they want. because then they wouldn't want it. there is a run on the pound, queues at the cashpoints, and panic-buying but happily we bustle our way to obscurity. sort of beautiful, riding the sclators in the late afternoon, pretting a cheap egg sandwich, elbows out for the pink-cheeked-posh boys on new bond st. they won't knife me if I get my bony ones in their chests. I am in and out like an assassin, a master thief, sang froid dear boy. Purchases made, lucrative stuff, great gods it will all be back in the shop for the sales. the refunds spent at the endpoint of all this. tk max.
