I hate to say I found a Velazquez expo boring. I did. Just a bit. I like the portrait of Gene Hackman
dressed at the pope. Very realistic. I like all the dresses and horses and chinless and overcheeked
royalties.

You see I've seen lots of Velazquez, for god's sake I've been to the Prado a few times, and after that,
it's not that exciting to see a few loans augmenting the Nat.'s permanent collection. Ok. I did get
moments of beauty. Those dresses on the infanta really are excellent brushwork. But the crowds are
too big. Save time and get a cheap ticket to Madrid. You can see Goya too.
