The small paintings are a mix of grotesque careful realistic detail and a bit of abstractish muck messing up the trompe l'oeil. Feel like I've seen it a million times. Think Nigel Cooke. I am sure they appeal to the younger generation of collectors who would in more innocent time have has a Bosch poster on their wall or like Dungeons and dragons.
