From: Remi Category: Consumer Date: 13 October 2006 Time: 08:16 PM Review: Have been intrigued by this offer of handmade shoes in the Sunday Times for a while, and now that I have to make myself presentable to patients, I thought it a good time to give it a try. Seems too good to be true, 2 pairs of handmade leather shoes for £100. Where's the catch? And you can give them back within a month for full refund even if worn. Well the stitching on my brown pair of Oxfords seems to have caught on something, and the colour is not as luxurious as advertised in the picture. The black brogues look okay. They don't blow me away, but they fit the bill. The accompanying leaflets are emphatic about the handmaking credentials of the company, but I started wondering, so what if they are handmade? Does that make them necessarily better, maybe machines are better than humans for making shoes. Perhaps they have perfected the art. Nonetheless, the shoes smell great, and they feel comfortable, so I feel quite hopeful about them. Let's see what happens.
