Review:

Good: Tony Robbins, the life guru coach, George from Seinfeld, hirsute. Odd a movie about what
would happen if appearances didn't matter, movies wouldn't be close to what they are.

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,1072-2351920,00.html compare this article about why the best
pecs get you sex.. the scarcity argument doesn't really make sense, lots of things are scarce, doesn't
mean we really want them e.g albino colouring, enormous noses, etc.

Back to Shallow Hal. Was slightly funny. Thought Paltrow good, not sure that Jack Black can carry a
movie, he lacks the magic. There are always handicapped people in Farrelly Bros. films, and the
comic unpolitical correctness wears thin, although, in fact the diversity is appealing.

In the end our hero decides heart matters more than looks, and goes off with the fat woman. Moral:
Hollywood lies.
