From: Alfred Starr Category: Music Date: 01 September 2006 Time: 09:38 AM Review: How many Prince: Best of/Hits/Ultimate albums does Warner Bros need to put out in a thirteen year period? Three is the answer. Warners Bros is at it again with a best of called the ‘Ultimate’ Album. B-sides, extended tracks mixed in with the hits. Most fans will have these tracks in various formats, nothing new here but it keeps the 'purple one' somewhere in the spot light. After the final departure from Warners in 1996, Prince has had two wives, one child and two divorces. A multitude of albums, a grammy, biggest selling live act of 2004-5, a NPG download website; pay for play tracks (now defunct). His last album in March ‘3121’ was a slight derailment from previous cds, though he is hit and miss these days. Disc one: "Purple Medley" "I Wanna Be Your Lover" "Uptown" "Controversy" "1999" "Little Red Corvette" (dance mix) "Let's Go Crazy" (dance mix) "Erotic City" (12" version) "Purple Rain" "When Doves Cry" "I Would Die 4 U" "Pop Life" (Fresh dance mix) "She's Always in My Hair" (12" version) "Raspberry Beret" (12" version) Disc two: "Kiss" (extended version) "Sign 'O' the Times" "U Got the Look" (Long Look) "I Could Never Take the Place of Your Man" "Hot Thing" (extended remix) "Alphabet St." "Thieves in the Temple" (remix) "Diamonds and Pearls" "Gett Off" "Money Don't Matter 2 Night" "Cream" (NPG mix) "7" (acoustic version) "Sexy Mutha" "Nothing Compares 2 U" "My Name Is Prince"
