From: telly Category: TV Date: 31 August 2006 Time: 09:33 AM Review: Provactive 9so they say) drama about a black teacher who is falsely accused of hitting one of his (black )students, loses his job, goes nuts, starts hating black people, and gets better with the help of a (black) girlfriend who works in the job centre. Ever noticed how if you're black, people are always mentioning it when they describe you, as though being A BLACK tells everything about you. Though funnily we presume the whiteness of whites doesn't really describe them usefully. The main black character saying Fuck Black People! and being all dismissive of some moaning black people at a party and saying stop whining about slavery and telling off some black youths, made me whitely uneasy that perhaps this was the ultimate white fantasy to have a black telling other blacks how crap they are, even if it was dressed up in drama.
