From: Eva Category: Life Date: 14 August 2006 Time: 11:32 AM Review: Interesting to note the Ikea-style crush on the Strand as pedestrians try to squeeze through the gap between the end of a workman’s ladder and where the road starts. The avenue lies gloriously open for those who choose to walk under the ladder, but very few dare. I didn’t realise so many people still bothered with superstition (didn’t anyone tell them it’s unlucky?) they will cause an accident through their efforts to avoid bad luck.
