Saliva and Soya in Pret

Review:

Disconcerting to be served my soya cappuccino by a woman with super-shiny gloss smeared all over her lips. She had her
back turned to me for so long, sweatily frothing my beverage, that when she turned around with her saliverous lips it
looked like she had been shoving her face into the food. Oiled lips make me think of cold sores and herpes. But maybe the
real issue here is hot drink on hot days. Soya replaces milk on such days to avoid that feeling of bloatedness, but soya
has that flat seedy aftertaste that needs to be masked by extra sugar that makes the mouth sticky. Everything is
dissatisfying on a hot day and everyone in the city looks ugly.
