Review

Easy to knock Calais as a place but Cote D'argent by the seafront is a brilliant restaurant and the view you get of the sun setting over the english channel as the ferries come in and go out is stunning. The food lives up to the romantic setting. Great wine list and Set menus; Plaisir and Michelin from 30 euros. Nicely presented and delicious with cheese and desert chariots to boot. Service is great with patience for fumbling basic/intermediate level french speakers. It has stayed the same since my first visit 3 years ago - thats a good thing. A worthy stop off on your way back to GB from european travels, buying booze and washing powder or before you venture off into the continent.
