Hmmm. Of course if art fair galleries select who's in the art fairs then that's not a free or fair market. The people who commision and create the market affect the art. A certain kind of naivety/cynicism presumes that money is neutral/natural. It's not, it belongs to people, is created and accepted by a society, and those that control it choose what they want to buy and that changes what is created. Once money becomes the main standard of what art is, art loses its last autonomy and becomes another crappy commodity. Game over.
