(Edit2) - WINTER'S BONE. It really blew me away. Why do people go on about shit like Eat Pray Love or Inception and ignore this little gem? It has no romance, no sex, little violence and N-O CGI. Is that why? Instead it has relentless poverty, hostility, suspicion and despair. All my main food groups! People will think "Oh those backward Ozark lowlife trash, they belong in the third world". And yeah the local codes and tribal loyalties run deep there, but this is where you come from peasants, in less than three hundred years, and this is where we will go when the God book say, "we're foreclosing your nation, sucker". Make your own guns.
