Review

The turnip prize reaches a new level of bore. Jay Jopling was looking around looking a bit fatter and a bit older. The Otolith collective are the tedious art as art student thesis writ large over a bunch of video screens, all very clever and unengaging. Dexter Dalwood paints sub Patrick Caulfield, which is saying somethin. Angela De la cruz's work looked tastefully arranged but nothing more. And Susan Phillpzzz is a waste of space in her tedious Cage lite. Overall there is TATE branding, explanations, posters, merchandise and books all providing ballast to this sack of nothingness.
