But what about the tossers that made his heap of crap? Sure, the tutor and students are a waste of space, but it's those behind the camera that decided they were representative of the institution and times. The idiocies enunciated on screen only reflect the cynical and manipulative makers. I guarantee one could easily find half a dozen students there that do not fall in with these silly views and superficial posturing. But they wouldn’t confirm and conform with the brief the BBC sets itself – ‘But is it Art?’. Why ask such a naïve question, unless you’re prepared to answer it? The chosen students and that halfwit Mabb, I can easily ignore. The BBC’s defiantly low-brow and sensationalist approach to art education is inexcusable.
